Creative Approaches in the Classroom through Music
Overview
This session will demonstrate how to use tuned and ‘junk’ instruments and sounds to help with vocabulary, descriptive language and creating sentences and stories. It will explore how teachers can use the body, instruments and singing to develop children’s sense of rhythm and pulse and to link this to teaching numeracy. It will also look at ways to include songs, raps and musical games into lessons to make topic work exciting and engaging.
