Creative Approaches in the Classroom through Drama
Overview
This workshop will lead teachers through exciting drama activities for KS1 and KS2 using role play, characterisation, improvisation and performance to develop children’s speaking and listening skills, confidence, and oral and written communication. It will explore the potential of drama for teaching other core curriculum subjects such as maths and science.
Objectives
- To provide teachers with a number of drama activities and techniques they can use straightaway in the classroom.
- To model the ways in which drama activities can be adapted for topic work across core subjects.
