Here is what’s coming up in Autumn term…
As we welcome in the new academic year, we wanted to bring you a few highlights for you to look forward to over the Autumn term: Black History Month Celebrating Black Heritage with Music, Drama, and Dance Embark on a captivating journey into Black history and culture with our engaging workshop designed especially for primary-aged children. Our Artis project day celebrates the rich heritage of the Black community through the power of music, drama, and dance. This sessions explores African and Caribbean traditions, providing an opportunity for pupils to learn about the contributions of those with African and Caribbean heritage to British society. Celebrate Black History Month with one of our Artis Specialists and help foster an understanding of Black history as well as supporting creativity, oracy, and confidence. KS1 : Caribbean Carnival It’s carnival time! Calypso, traditional carnival characters, and lively dance await in this Caribbean themed project. KS2: Adventure Africa An adventure through Africa exploring traditional tales, drumming and dance. Artis Foundation’s project day cost £450, and include delivery and planning. We are very excited to announce that registration is now open for schools to apply for our 2024/25 cohort for the Match Fund programme. This programme offers financial to support to schools in areas of deprivation to access the Artis Learning programme. To find out more or to register for next year’s cohort, click here. Supporting Oracy through the Arts – Online CPD Our first CPD of this years’ series will be taking place on Tuesday, October 3rd, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It promises to be an insightful session designed to give teachers simple creative tools to enhance oracy skills in the classroom. Click here to register. Monitoring and Evaluation webinar This Thursday 14th September at 4pm, Programme Coordinator Emma (Chirp) will be leading a session to support our partner schools with any questions they have about this years monitoring and evaluation. Click here to book your free place. The Big Picture at Guildhall Art Gallery We are really excited to be involved in the Guildhall’s Big Picture programme. We are partnering with the Guildhall Art Gallery again to deliver a new workshop that will explore maths through the arts.
